POSTPARTUM MENTAL HEALTH · NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA
One learns the world, the other learns herself.
Therapist-led groups, postpartum education, and an all-female care team. In person or by telehealth.
Mother Bloom is the postpartum track at Quest Wellness Center, built for new moms in the weeks and months after birth who are dealing with postpartum depression, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. It is a women-only Intensive Outpatient Program with therapist-led groups alongside other new moms, postpartum education classes, and one-on-one sessions. Care is available in person in North Hollywood, serving the greater Los Angeles area, or virtually from home, and your baby is always welcome. No referral needed. We accept most commercial PPO plans with out-of-network benefits and are in network with Curative. We verify your benefits before treatment.
Mother Bloom is a postpartum IOP for mothers, an Intensive Outpatient Program that runs on the same structure as our main IOP with the content focused entirely on the postpartum period. You attend several hours of treatment a few days a week and return home at the end of each day, and the whole program is designed around life with a new baby. Groups are made up of other new moms, so you are surrounded by women who understand what the early months actually feel like. The track combines group therapy, postpartum education, individual sessions, and psychiatric care, and it is led by an all-female team. You do not need a referral to start, and you can join in person or by telehealth.
This is care for the mother, not only the symptoms. Your baby is learning the world for the first time, and you are learning who you are now. Mother Bloom gives that work the clinical support it deserves.
Mother Bloom is for women in the postpartum period who need more than a weekly therapy appointment but do not need hospital-level care. You might recognize some of this:
These are common, they are not a personal failing, and they respond well to treatment. Postpartum depression and anxiety are medical conditions, not a reflection of how much you love your child. If your symptoms are severe, if you are having thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, or if staying safe at home does not feel realistic, call us and our team will help you reach the right level of care right away. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For 24/7 support, call or text the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline at 1-833-852-6262, or call or text 988.
A week in Mother Bloom combines group therapy, postpartum education, and individual time, built around a schedule that works with a newborn. Group sessions are led by a therapist and shared with other new moms, so the work happens among women going through the same stage. Postpartum education classes cover what is actually happening in the body and mind after birth, so the changes feel less frightening and more manageable. Individual sessions give you private time with a clinician to work through what is specific to you. Length of stay is set by clinical progress, not a fixed calendar, and the team steps your care down as you stabilize.
Because the program is offered both in person and virtually, you keep the same structure whether you attend on site in North Hollywood or from home. Your baby is welcome either way.
Mother Bloom is staffed entirely by women. The track is led by a therapist who specializes in postpartum care and is a mom herself, so the clinical expertise comes with lived understanding of what the postpartum period asks of you. Groups, education, and individual sessions are all delivered by women who work with new mothers, which makes it easier to be honest about what you are going through.
Care from our board-certified psychiatrist is part of Mother Bloom, including medication support when it is needed. Some mothers do well with therapy alone; for others, medication makes therapy more effective by bringing symptoms down to a workable level. If you are breastfeeding, that is part of the conversation, and the decision is always made with you rather than for you. Medication is never required to take part, and many mothers never need it. When it helps, it is part of your plan.
The postpartum period often collides with work, and the paperwork for leave is one more thing to carry when you have the least capacity for it. Our case manager helps with work leave paperwork, so the practical side of taking time for treatment does not fall on you alone. This is a standard part of the program, not an extra you have to ask for.
Mother Bloom runs in person at our North Hollywood facility for new moms across the greater Los Angeles area, as well as virtually across California, and your baby is always welcome at either. You should not have to choose between getting help and caring for your newborn, so the program is built to hold both. Telehealth removes the commute and the logistics of leaving the house with an infant, and in-person care gives you the company of other mothers and a few hours that are yours. You can attend whichever way fits your week, and move between the two as your circumstances change.
